Overview of Recent Website Changes
The following modifications have been made to the functionality of the website, which will primarily affect users of the Automatic Replenishment feature.
- When removing a stored credit card, the system will now also remove any automatic replenishments that are billed to that credit card.
- In order to finalize the removal of the automatic replenishment feature, the card must be tapped at a ticket vending machine or turnstile in a PATH station within 60 days.
- A new automatic replenishment cannot be setup on the SmartLink Card until this is completed.
- If the SmartLink Card is not tapped in a station within 60 days, the automatic replenishment will become active again at the next tap of the SmartLink Card.
- When editing a stored credit card with an active automatic replenishment, the system will automatically apply these changes to the billing information for the automatic replenishment. This credit card will be charged at the next automatic replenishment load (when your balance reaches 5 trips or 5 days).
- After adding a new credit card to your account, the system will ask if you want any active automatic replenishments charged to this new credit card. If you select ’yes,’ there will be a temporary authorization charge to this new card, and the funds will automatically be released back to your credit account. This new credit card will not be officially charged until the next automatic replenishment load (when your balance reaches 5 trips or 5 days).
- When viewing your stored payment information, credit cards with active automatic replenishments will now display the last eight digits of the SmartLink card serial number receiving the replenishment.
- A link for our ’Contact Us’ page has been added to every webpage in the event you need further assistance.
